There is no finer, friendlier place for an Altbier or a Guinness
in the Altstadt area of Duesseldorf than Julio.
Julio is a small pub featuring fresh Frankenheim Altbier, Guinness, and
a several other fine potables including Schnaps like
Samtkragen.
and Baumberger (see below).
Ulla and I discovered Julios several years ago. We wanted to find a relatively quiet
place to sit and have an Altbier outside of the usual madness that is Altstadt in Duesseldorf.
We found what we were looking for at Julio.
Peter Tuxhorn, the owner and proprietor, along with Inge, the other bartender,
are now trying to perfect mein Deutsch. I am no longer allowed to speak English in Julio.
