Lanzarote 2004

In July, 2004, we went back to Lanzarote. Back to Playa Blanca
for a little peace and quiet. Boy has it changed in the 3 1/2 years
since we'd last been there.

Playa Blanca has gone from a little fishing village to a 5-mile wide
gamble in desert real estate speculation.

I could talk about that for hours, but, that is not what this site
is about. These pages are about images from Lanzarote. When you hold
a 15 million year old piece of lava in your hand, and you look and the
hole in the ground where somebody wants to build the next hotel, everything
comes into perspective.
